Overview
This document outlines the findings regarding the delivery status of messages sent to the specified number. According to our checks, the messages have been delivered to the handset, as indicated by the Delivery Report received from the subscriber’s device.
Key Points
- Delivery Confirmation: The delivery response is generated by the subscriber handset itself. If a Delivery Report is received, it confirms that the messages have reached the handset.
- User Claims: If the end user claims they have not received the messages, this may indicate a potential issue with the handset.
Troubleshooting Steps
To assist in resolving the issue, please review the following points:
- Network Coverage: Ensure that the handset is within a good network coverage area.
- Device Power: Confirm that the handset is switched ON.
- Roaming Status: Verify that the end user is not in a roaming area, as this can affect message delivery.
- Spam Folder: In smartphones, check the spam SMS folder. If the messages are found there, unmark them as spam and test message reception again.
- Partially Received SMS: If the message was sent in parts (concatenated SMS) and one part is received while another is lost, the smartphone may not display the message, even though the Delivery Report shows it as delivered.
- SIM Card Testing: We recommend that the end user insert their SIM card into a different handset to perform a test. This can help determine if the issue is related to the original handset.
