Users can create RCS templates to send reusable messages to customers. An RCS template is a pre-designed message structure that businesses can create in advance. Once a template is created, it can be reused multiple times for different customers, making the process more efficient.
To send an RCS message, users must first create an RCS template. Only after the template is created can they send out RCS messages based on that template.
There are three types of RCS templates:
- Standard RCS Template
- Rich Card Template
- Carousel Template
Each of these templates serves a unique purpose. In this blog, we will explore how each type of template functions and how they can help enterprises address their specific use cases effectively.
Page | Description |
---|---|
Standard RCS Message | The Standard RCS Template is ideal for sending basic, everyday messages like utility notifications or authentication codes. Standard template can also be used to send promotional or marketing message as well although they will not contain any image or video. |
Rich Card Message | In RCS (Rich Communication Services), a rich card is a type of message that combines media (like images or videos), text, and interactive elements (like suggested replies or actions) into a single, visually engaging message. These cards allow businesses to share more information and offer a more interactive experience to users within the messaging app. |
RCS Carousel Message | In Rich Communication Services (RCS), a carousel is a horizontally scrollable message format that allows businesses to showcase multiple rich cards within a single message. These cards can contain media, text, and buttons, enabling users to easily browse and compare different options or products. A carousel can hold up to 10 cards, each designed to present a piece of information or a specific product. |
