  1. NDNC Number

  2. Dest Address Invalid

    • Action: Double-check the number for correctness and ensure it’s active.
  3. Blocked Number
    • Description: This means the number has been blocked by the service provider, typically due to complaints related to NDNC violations. The user may have received multiple unsolicited calls or messages.
    • Action: The sender may need to verify the number’s compliance with NDNC regulations or contact the recipient directly for resolution.
  4. UNDELIV/Undelivered
    • Description: This status signifies that the SMS could not be delivered due to low connectivity or other network issues affecting the recipient’s device.
    • Action: The sender may try resending the message after some time or check if the recipient has network issues.
  5. SENT
    • Description: Indicates that the SMS has been sent from the sender’s device but has not received an acknowledgment from the server. This can happen due to various reasons, including server delays.
    • Action: Usually, no action is needed, but it may be good to follow up with the recipient if there’s no response.
  6. EXPIRED
    • Description: This status appears when the SMS cannot be delivered because the recipient’s phone is switched off, out of coverage range, or experiencing other network issues.
    • Action: The message may be attempted again later, but if the issue persists, reaching out through an alternative method might be necessary.
  7. CTA Failed
    • Description: This status indicates that the Click-to-Action (CTA) associated with a message has failed. This typically occurs in marketing or transactional messages that include links or prompts for users to take action
    • Action: Review the message content and ensure that all links are correct and functional. If necessary, resend the message or provide alternative means for the recipient to take action.
  8. DLT Failed
    • Description: This status indicates that the message could not be delivered due to issues related to the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) system. DLT is used in India to manage the flow of commercial communications and to comply with regulations around messaging.
  9. Template ID Not Matched
    • Description: This status indicates that the message being sent does not match an approved template ID in the DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) system. In India, businesses must use pre-approved message templates to comply with regulations.
  10. Variable Length Exceeds
    • Description: This error code indicates that a variable within your message template exceeds the maximum allowed length of 30 characters. This can prevent the message from being processed or sent.
    • Possible Reasons:
      • One or more variables in the template have content that is longer than 30 characters.
      • This can happen if the dynamic data (like names, IDs, or other inputs) is longer than expected.

On those numbers from our side we retry on expired number and if the number is active at the time of sending sms so the sms delivered on the number. if the number is out of reach or switched off at the time of sending sms then the sms status is “expired”.
